The beginning of a Souls Journey - First Holy Communion Celebration

The first Holy Communion celebration of Ave Maria Convent, Negombo was held on the 20th of July at the school auditorium, where 169 students of the school received the sacrament. The grand mass was conciliated by 7 priests with the Rev. Fr. Dr. Sumeth Perera as the chief celebrant. The students who received communion came in procession for the mass; lead by the school junior western band. They were given gifts and refreshments to mark the end of this joyous day. This event came into fruitfulness, with the immense dedication, effort and preparation of teachers as well as with the help and support of the parents. Overall, the ceremony was a heartwarming and memorable event for the students of Ave Maria Convent and marked the beginning of their lifelong spiritual journey.
